10 Steps of Effective Problem Solving
 
Below are the 10 Steps for the effective solving of problems. Over the coming weeks we will post narrative pertaining to each of the steps. This will allow subscribers time to reflect on each of the steps and to engage in discussion pertaining to each step in the process. So, are you ready to become an effective problem solver? Define the problem.

Gather information about the problem. 
4. 
Develop strategies to solve the problem. 
5. 
Select a problem solving strategy.  
6. 
Define your expected outcomes from the implementation of the strategy. 
7. 
Implement the selected strategy. 
8. 
Evaluate your observed outcomes from the implementation of the strategy.
9. 
Compare your expected and observed outcomes.
10. 
If your expected and observed outcomes are in agreement, you are finished! The problem is solved! If your expected and observed outcomes are not in agreement, go back to Step One and start over.
